Bell shaped hanger

Example of a 16 armed bell hanger.

The device which suspends the beads are made from large float glass "spider webs". First several strips of glass are fused together to make the flat shape, about 33 cms in diameter.

Most are made with 8 arms, Each arm, and the space between two arms can then be used for hanging shapes, icicles, beads etc. This is then fired again a a lower temperature over a form to make a rounded shape

The form is a steel pudding basin covered with kiln shelf wash to prevent sticking!
